·       The Category Manager for Construction is responsible for the overall sales and marketing strategy for the Construction category. This includes developing relationships with key industry customers and implementing growth plans.  This role will determine what products, what quantities, and to which customers we will sell our polyurea chemistries.

 

·       The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the construction industry in a technical discipline or sales role. The Category Manager must be able to think strategically and creatively and must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

1 Analyze industry and consumer trends to identify opportunities and develop long-term strategies for product categories.
2 Develop and implement pricing and promotional plans to maximize sales and profits.
3 Work with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns and to drive sales
4 Build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners.
5 Track performance and adjust as needed to ensure category goals are met.

Education Minimum Required: ·       Bachelors in business or a technical discipline
Preferred: ·       MBA
Experience Minimum Required: ·       5 years
Preferred: ·       10 years

·       Ability to think strategically about the category and create a roadmap for growth through key customers, partners, and products.

·       Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people are essential.

  • This role is an individual contributor with dotted line influence over the sales team.

·       This role preferably works from the office at the IXS Coatings facility in Lebanon, TN and travels as needed. Remote assignments will be considered.

 

·       50% travel is expected for this role.

 

·       The Category Manager is a critical member of the Commercial team and plays a key role in the company’s success.
