Financial Analyst

Location: Lebanon, TN (Nashville, TN)

Job Summary

The Financial Analyst is responsible for maintaining the inventory costing system and process on an ongoing basis. This role also analyzes financial reports and translates them into concise summaries for management by preparing reports, making presentations of findings, analyses and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain the inventory costing system and process on an ongoing basis.
Provide input and recommendations within the computer system to help achieve an effective costing process.
Participate in the financial performance results with budget vs actual variances
Support the coordination and preparation of the month end close process as well as budget and forecast process.
Prepare financial models to support different budget and forecast scenarios.
Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data
Preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses and recommendations.
Analyze financial reports and translate them into concise summaries for management.
Improve financial status by identifying and analyzing trends; recommending actions.
Develop studies/recommendations for cost reduction and profit improvement programs as requested by management.

Qualifications

Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance.
University degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
3 years of progressive experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment
Advanced level skills in MS Excel.

Cost Accountant

Location: Lebanon, TN (Nashville, TN)

Job Summary

The Cost Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining standard costs and its ongoing analysis. This role will be a key member of the accounting team in providing costing support and in other accounting areas.

Key Responsibility

Develop and implement best practices with regard to inventory management and cost control
Construct and maintain data accumulation systems for a cost accounting system, utilizing standard costs
Develop Reporting on contribution margins
Establish proper inventory count procedures at period end, determined as necessary
To include a cycle count system
Coordinate physical inventory counts, investigate variances and resolve issues with the operations team
Owned the standard cost data with in NetSuite
Including proper maintenance and timely updates and analyze standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
Working with the accounting team and financial analyst to develop and administer absorption rates for labor and facility overhead
Track and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles
In concert with the operations team, establish and monitor inventory reserve amounts for period ends
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
1-2 years experience
Operations experience in a production environment
Strong analytical thinking
Self-starter
MS Suite
Netsuite experience preferred.
